Exclusive Premiere: Jeremy Olander Drops “DLIGTY” For Eric Prydz’s Label
Swedish artist Jeremy Olander will become the first artist to join Eric Prydz’s personal imprint with the release of his three-track Jackie EP next week.
It’s only fitting that Olander should receive such an honor. Prydz’s prolific protégé has delivered six well-regarded Pryda Friends releases since 2011, and was recently tapped to provide support for Eric Prydz’s EPIC 3.0 show at Madison Square Garden on Sept. 27.

“Being fortunate to have as many releases on Pryda Friends as I have today was something I couldn’t have dreamt of when I started out making music, but still somehow felt that it might be obtainable,” says Olander. “Releasing something on Pryda though, is something that has never crossed my mind. It’s been a home exclusively for Eric for so many years and that fact that feels someone that’s not him is worthy of putting out music there feels really cool.”

Described by Olander as a “blend between progressive and electro,” the track is built around a hypnotic and shifting electro lead that receives support from complementary synthesizers and driving percussion.

“When I discovered dance music about ten to eleven years ago, the electro sound was really big so it kind of pays homage to that era,” he says.
Jeremy Olander’s Jackie EP will be available through Pryda Recordings on Sept. 29.
