Executive Turntable: Vincent Clery-Melin Named Global MD of KLS’ AWAL; Chamber Group Appoints Isabel Quinteros as West Coast SD
Kobalt Label Services (KLS) announced that Vincent Clery-Melin will be joining them as global managing director of AWAL, KLS’ digital distribution and marketing services company. In his new position, Clery-Melin will be to lead AWAL’s expansion to become the preferred digitally-focused services company for independent artists and labels worldwide. He will also work with Paul Hitchman, MD of KLS, to sign new artists.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Kobalt and AWAL,” commented Clery-Melin in a statement. “For the last 8 years I have been working with indie labels and independent-minded artists, and I believe Kobalt has the vision, the ambition, and the means to become THE true 21st century music services company. Clery-Melin comes to KLS from [PIAS] Cooperative, formerly known as Cooperative Music and still referred to as Co-op, which he founded and managed for eight years. There, he worked with artists from labels like Glassnote and Bella Union, including Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, and Bloc Party. Prior to that he was VP, Marketing for EMI Music Continental Europe.
In other news, the Chamber Group, boutique public relations and marketing firm, has appointed Isabel Quinteros as their West Coast senior director of the Los Angeles office. “I am thrilled to announce this new addition to our team,” said Chris Chambers, principal and founder of the Chamber Group. “Isabel is an extremely talented and well-rounded executive who brings an enormous wealth of experience to her new position. I have no doubt that our artists will benefit greatly from her expertise and enthusiasm, and that she will be making a valuable contribution to The Chamber Group.”
Quinteros was previously an account supervisor at PMK*BNC, where she oversaw the Pepsi Blue Can account.
