Exes Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp Have Movies in Theaters Same Day. Fans Call It the Next 'Barbenheimer'
Timothée Chalamet's Bob Dylan biopic 'A Complete Unknown' and Lily-Rose Depp's 'Nosferatu' are both in theaters Christmas Day
Could A Complete Unknown and Nosferatu make for the next “Barbenheimer?” Fans of Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp seem to think so.
The Bob Dylan biopic and Robert Eggers-directed vampire flick are both set to release on Christmas Day, just like Barbie and Oppenheimer shared a release date in July 2023, paving the way for the unexpected double feature — and friendly rivalry — that the internet coined “Barbenheimer.”
Now, fans of Chalamet, who stepped into Dylan’s shoes for A Complete Unknown, and Depp, who stars in Nosferatu, are predicting that the upcoming releases may cause similar cultural waves.
Chalamet, 28, and Depp, 25, costarred in the 2019 film The King and dated from 2018 to April 2020. The Wonka actor is now dating Kylie Jenner, and The Idol actress is with musician 070 Shake.

After a film-focused account, Cinema Solace, announced the films’ shared release date on X, users responded by theorizing about the impact the movies could have — with references to the stars’ past relationship.
“BABY WAKE UPPPP!!! Barbenheimer is back,” one person wrote, while another declared that the films are “My barbenheimer actually.” Still another wrote that Nosferatu and A Complete Unknown are “the victorian children reanimated version of barbenheimer.”
As for what to call the double feature, two users suggested unique combinations. “May i present.... ACOMPLETEUNNOSFERATU,” one person said, while another seconded this notion, writing, “A complete unknosferatu #acompleteunknosferatu.”
References to the couple’s dating history also manifested, with responses to the Cinema Solace post stating things like “I am a child of divorce” — and picking sides. “When u break up but u still have to serve. Sorry lily wins this time,” one user joked.

Its cast also includes Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, a character based on Dylan’s real-life girlfriend and muse during the early 1960s, as well as Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, and Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash.
