Family Fun! Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon Take Their Kids to the ‘Sing’ Premiere

Reese Witherspoon and Matthew McConaughey were ready to belt it out with their families at the premiere of their animated musical, Sing, in Los Angeles on Friday.

Witherspoon, who lends her voice as a busy mom and pig named Rosita, was all smiles in a photo with her look-alike daughter Ava, 17, sons Deacon, 13, and Tennessee, 4, and husband Jim Toth.

The actress, 40, wore a black mini dress with star embellishments, while her mini-me Ava also sported a strappy black dress. Witherspoon’s little guys looked dapper in button-down shirts and ties, and Toth opted for a sports coat and button-down with a sweater.

This is not a unusual family outing for Witherspoon and her family. In October 2015, the actress was joined by Ava and Deacon — who she shares with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe — when she received the 29th American Cinematheque Award. And while she said it was “great” to have them there, she admitted they were not totally familiar with all of her cinematic efforts.

“They’ve never really seen me in very many films, so it should be interesting,” she told reporters before the ceremony last year.

Witherspoon’s co-star McConaughey was also joined by his family for the premiere. The 47-year-old portrays a koala named Buster Moon, who is desperate to keep his family-owned theater running.

McConaughey posed for photos alongside wife Camila Alves and their three children, 3-year-old son Livingston, 8-year-old son Levi and 6-year-old daughter Vida. Alves, 34, wore a black and white gown, while the couple’s kids matched their dad in suits.

When he was being honored for the same award Witherspoon received just one year earlier, his entire family was also in attendance. He explained that their upbringing hasn’t necessarily been what he originally anticipated.

“Years ago, before I had children — and I always knew I wanted to have children — I thought, ‘When I have children, I don’t think I want to raise them around this industry. I don’t think I want to have them engaged in this industry. I want to move off somewhere and have them outside of it,’ ” he said while being honored at the awards in October 2014.

“I can happily and honorably say … I so love having my children engaged in what we do, and meeting the people that we get to work with.”
