Fans Are Begging for More After Surprise 'Schitt's Creek' Reunion at 2024 Emmy Awards
The final onstage reunion at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards left fans begging for more as they realized how much they’ve missed the beloved cast.
With Eugene and Dan Levy co-hosting this year’s ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 15, and Catherine O’Hara slated to present an award, the evening was primed for a Schitt’s Creek reunion. The real-life father-son duo played father and son through the six-season show, while O’Hara played Eugene’s onscreen wife.
Despite the fan speculation, it seemed like the reunion wasn’t going to happen as the night came to an end—at least until the time came for Eugene and Dan to bring out the event’s final presenter.

Before doing so, they invited Annie Murphy, who played Eugene’s daughter and Dan’s sister on the show, to join them onstage. As they explained, she was brought into the mix to introduce O’Hara, who then presented the Outstanding Comedy Series award to Hacks in true Moira Rose fashion.

Seeing the actors who played the four members of the Rose family together again was a thrilling moment for Schitt’s Creek fans, many of whom quickly took to social media to start demanding a more permanent reunion.
“Is it time for the Schitt’s Creek movie or reboot or something? Cause I need it,” one fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“I have never wanted a Schitt’s Creek reboot or movie more in my life,” another fan tweeted, adding, “This is all too much in the best way!”
“Need more!!” one person declared as another agreed that the show “might as well” return.
Others were simply happy to see the reunion take place, however brief it might have been.
“It's so heartwarming to see the Schitt's Creek family reunite like they never left our screens,” one X user wrote.
“The mini Schitt’s Creek reunion was the best of the night,” one fan wrote as another asked, “can the cast of schitt’s creek host everything forever?”
"So disappointing that seeing the #SchittsCreek fabulous 4 on stage together at the #Emmys2024 didn't lead to the announcement of a reunion movie or miniseries! I need to see the Roses (with Patrick, Ted, Twyla and Mutt) reunite!" someone else noted.
“Crying at the Schitt's Creek reunion ????,” another fan shared.
