Fans Are Convinced Taylor Swift Sent a Hidden Message With Her Latest Chiefs Game Day Look
Taylor Swift is back at Arrowhead Stadium and her fans are all about her latest game day look.
The "Blank Space" songstress showed up to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, at his Oct. 7 game against the New Orleans Saints dressed in a plaid off-the-shoulder dress, tall platform high-heeled boots, her hair pulled back in a ponytail, glitter freckles, and her classic red lipstick.

Most fans loved the ensemble, but many were curious as to the pattern on her dress. “?More plaid! What does it mean!!?!,” asked one X user, while another simply stated that they were “just loving all the plaid on her lately.”
A less vocal minority did not like the look as much, teasing that the singer, who is on the verge of heading back on tour, was “serving table cloth.” Another commenter claimed “the outfit... oh we're gonna clown.”
Social media was abuzz that the plaid was a hint to her fans about her "Reputation" album, with fans saying “Okay the plaid has to mean something at this point I’m convinced.” One fan went as far as to declare it, writing on X that “Taylor looks amazing ??and she’s loving that plaid. That’s gotta be an Easter egg for something.”
Some Swifties believe that plaid is a coded message from the "Cruel Summer" singer to her fans, in part because of her outfit at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 11. When she arrived at the awards ceremony, she posed on the red carpet wearing a plaid yellow and black dress.
A matching plaid choker, thigh-high black boots and leather gloves completed the ensemble, and fans instantly connected the look to a photo of her wearing a yellow and black plaid oversized shirt around the time the "Reputation" album came out.
Swift, who has re-recorded several of her hit albums in the wake of music executive Scooter Braun’s purchase of her master recordings, has yet to announce when she plans to release “Taylor’s Version” of “Reputation,” like she has so far for “Fearless,” “Speak Now,” “Red,” and “1989.”
