Fans Are ‘Crying’ Over Lainey Wilson’s Sweet Gesture for Young Fan
Lainey Wilson is doing more than entertaining audiences on her "Country's Cool Again" tour—the singer is making a difference in the lives of young fans.
In a video shared to Instagram on July 25, Wilson brings a little girl named Nora from the audience up onstage during a live performance to be crowned "cowgirl of the night"—a sweet gesture that's becoming a tradition at her concerts.
With her arm around the child, Wilson leads her in a series of self-affirmations.
“It's real easy," Wilson says. "Repeat after me, okay? Say, ‘I am beautiful. I am smart. I am talented. I can do anything. I am cowgirl of the night!’ Give it up for Nora!"
Wilson then places a black cowboy hat on Nora, saying, "You look good too, girl.”

"Crowning a cowgirl of the night has been one of my favorite moments on this tour y’all," Wilson captioned the video. "Nora, you’re gonna go far sister."
Fans were moved by the inspirational interaction, which will no doubt stay with Nora for the rest of her life.
"Ok crying," wrote one commenter.
"A little gesture can have huge impact on the little ones," pointed out a second fan. "I love seeing this happen at the shows."
As Parade previously reported, Wilson made headlines for another live performance just days ago when she suffered a wardrobe malfunction while headlining the Faster Horses Festival in Brooklyn, Mich., on Saturday, July 20.
After briefly stepping out of view, the star explained that her pants had suddenly ripped.
“There’s a first time for everything, and I’m glad it was y’all that I split my pants wide open in front of,” she said.
