Fans Gush Over Jennifer Garner's 'Today' Appearance With 86-Year-Old Mom: 'National Treasure'
Jennifer Garner visited the Today show for a recent appearance, and fans were elated that she brought along her mom for the TV moment.
The Yes Day actress and her mother, Patricia Ann Garner, chatted with two of the broadcast's cohosts, Hoda Kotb and Sheinelle Jones, in videos that were shared via Instagram on Monday, June 24, and the sweet mother-daughter duo is sure to make your heart melt.
As Kotb acknowledged that Patricia is "famous now"—to which Jennifer agreed that her mom is, indeed, an "overnight sensation" at age 86—she asked how the celebrity mother feels to be "riding that wave."
"I love it," Patricia said, before admitting, "Well, I probably wish I were Jennifer Garner."
Patricia first began coming into the public eye when the 13 Going on 30 star starting sharing cooking videos of her mom on social media, which quickly gained popularity.
On the morning show, the pair also made a dish for the Today crew. As Jennifer got instructions from her mom, the other stars of the show, including Al Roker and Carson Daly, sat back and enjoyed the fun.
"The Garner girls brought all laughs and fun to the TODAY kitchen this morning. An iconic mother-daughter duo!" the official Instagram account of the popular program captioned the clip.
Between the two uploads, fans in the comment sections couldn't get enough of the family content.
"Best cooking segment ever. They are so cute together," one said, in part, while another added, "Jennifer Anne better let mama do what she does. ????."
"Don’t piss off Mama G ???? Loved this segment," a third joked, after watching Patricia snap at Jennifer when she attempted to add an ingredient at the wrong time.
