Fans Say They 'Would Run After' Taylor Swift as '22' Hat Recipient Tries to Climb on Stage
Another day, another moment from Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is going viral–this time, though, it's because of the very impulsive reaction from a young fan selected to receive her famed "22" hat.
While entertaining the crowd in Hamburg, Germany, the 34-year-old pop star continued her tradition of gifting one lucky Swiftie the black cap she wears during her performance of her hit "22" from the 2012 album Red.
According to a video captured by one concertgoer that has since gained traction on social media, all was going well as the 14-time Grammy winner passed off the accessory to the young fan who stood before her at the edge of the stage in an outfit inspired by the bodysuit the singer wears during the Midnights era of her show.
It wasn't until Swift proceeded to walk away and wrap up the choreography that things almost went awry. With her back to the fan, the pop star rejoined her dancers at the center of the stage when the little girl attempted to climb onto the stage. She ultimately failed, as a person standing behind her quickly grabbed her back and instructed her not to make a run for it.
The entire moment was caught on camera and other Swifties have dubbed it an "adorable" display of affection–with some even admitting that they "get it" and "would run after taylor too."
"Intrusive thoughts almost won," someone else quipped.

"One of them will get on the stage by the end of the tour," another social media user suggested, with others agreeing that "it has to happen."
While the safest and best option for fans is to stay off the stage–especially if they want the star to continue her sweet gesture–Swifties have found other ways to make the "22" hat tradition extra memorable by showing off their dance moves and bringing nothing but their smiles and friendship bracelets to the star.
Swift wraps up the Germany leg of her Eras Tour on Sunday, July 28, with two back-to-back shows in Munich before heading to Poland, Austria and London. The pop star will then enjoy a few weeks off before picking the show back up in Toronto later this fall.
