The Fantastic Four: Ralph Ineson Joins Cast of MCU Movie as Galactus
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has found its Galactus, as THR is reporting that Ralph Ineson has joined the cast of The Fantastic Four to play the iconic villain.
It’s unclear exactly what role Galactus will have in The Fantastic Four, but Ineson joins a cast that continues to round out a star-studded group of actors.
Just earlier today, it was reported that John Malkovich had joined the cast, which also recently added Paul Walter Hauser in an undisclosed role, and will see Julie Garner join as Shalla-Bal, a different version of the Silver Surfer.
Inseon’s career in Hollywood spans 30 years and has seen the actor star in notable projects like The Witch, Game of Thrones, the Harry Potter franchise, Chernobyl, and more. Up next for Ineson is a role in Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, as well as a role in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein movie.
What do we know about The Fantastic Four?
Garner will join a cast that has already found its main cast of heroes. Pedro Pascal will play Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, while Vanessa Kirby will play Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman. Stranger Things’ Joseph Quinn has the role of Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and The Bear’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach has the part of Ben Grimm/The Thing.
Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, who was brought in to re-write the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. As a project in Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2025.
The Fantastic Four comic debuted in 1961. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, it was the first superhero team title produced by Marvel Comics and popularized famous characters like Reed Richards, Sue Storm and Doctor Doom.
