Fight for My Way Ending Explained & Spoilers: Do Kim Ji-Won and Park Seo-Joon End up Together?
Fight for My Way is one of the most popular slice-of-life romantic K-dramas starring Kim Ji-Won and Park Seo-Joon. It made its debut on KBS2, on May 22, 2017. The series is currently available for streaming on Netflix and Viki. The Korean drama revolves around two primary themes, including chasing dreams and love.
The main plotline of Fight for My Way follows the love story between Ko Dong-Man (Park Seo-Joon) and Choi Ae-Ra (Kim Ji-Won). It also depicts their struggles and rise later in their desired careers. The second couple of the series are Kim Joo-Man (Ahn Jae-Hong) and Baek Sul-Hee (Song Ha-Yoon). Their once extremely stable and long-time relationship goes through a lot of turmoil throughout the K-drama.
Ko Dong-Man and Choi Ae-Ra’s love story sees immense growth throughout the series and they become a couple after being childhood friends for many years. However, towards the end of Fight for My Way, it faces some difficulties, leading to a crack in their relationship. Fight for My Way Ending: Park Seo-Joon asks Kim Ji-Won to marry him
At the beginning of the finale episode of Fight for My Way, viewers see Choi Ae-Ra (Kim Ji-Won) and Ko Dong-Man (Park Seo-Joon) breaking up with each other. Choi Ae-Ra can not stand seeing Ko Dong-Man getting hurt inside the fighting ring. However, it is Ko Dong-Man’s ultimate dream in life to become a professional mixed martial arts fighter. Thus, it creates issues and misunderstandings between the two, leading to their breakup.
In the meantime, the Fight for My Way finale episode also sees Choi Ae-Ra finding out that Hwang Bok-hee, or Ganako Hwang is her birth mother, who had abandoned her during her childhood. When Choi Ae-Ra confronts Ganako about it, it creates a rift between the two, leaving Ae-Ra even more upset.
However, soon, from Kim Nam-Il, Ae-Ra learns that her mother did not abandon her. She has always kept an eye on her from afar. She also paid for all her studies and deeply cared for her without letting her know. Thus, later on, Ae-Ra and her mother reconcile with one another.
In the Fight for My Way finale, the audience then sees Ko Dong-Man asking Choi Ae-Ra to wait for him for two months. He does not want to break up with her. He plans to stay with Ae-Ra for the rest of his life. During these two months, Ko Dong-Man trains hard under coach Hwang Jang-Ho and another strict trainer’s guidance for his upcoming fight with Kim Tak-Soo. Throughout the series, Choi Ae-Ra is also striving to fulfill her dream of becoming a professional announcer. She finally ends up becoming an announcer for fighting competitions.
Thereafter, in the finale of Fight for My Way, two months pass, and the day of the fight between Ko Dong-Man and Kim Tak-Soo arrives. Choi Ae-Ra is the announcer of the match. After a fierce fighting match, Ko Dong-Man finally becomes the winner using his remarkable fighting skills. Choi Ae-Ra then goes on to interview him inside the fighting ring. She is still shaken up from the fight as seeing Dong-Man in such a risky match is hard for her.
At the end of the interview, Dong-Man tells Ae-Ra that he can not live without her. He then goes on to ask her to get married to him. Ae-Ra accepts his proposal and the two embrace each other passionately inside the ring in front of the entire audience. Thus, the two end up together. The other couple, Baek Sul-Hee (Song Ha-Yoon) and Kim Joo-Man (Ahn Jae-Hong) also reconcile at the end.
At the end of the Korean series, the four friends Ae-Ra, Dong-Man, Sul-Hee and Joo-Man fulfil their dreams and start living happily in their own ways. Thus, Fight for My Way ends on a satisfactory note with all four of them preparing for Ae-Ra and Dong-Man’s wedding.
