That’ll soon change thanks to their new partnership with DanceOne, the largest holding company of dance brands in the world. The sibling duo is teaming up with the company to launch an all-new global ballroom dance convention and competition tour, which is expected to hit major markets across the US in 2025 and expand internationally in 2026.

“Just looking at the dance industry over the last however many years, Derek and I have been so fortunate that we’ve been a big part of that in the commercial sense,” Julianne, who will help curate the workshops and competitions, told PEOPLE.

“Looking back at where we came from was like, man, we wouldn’t be where we’re at without the training and the mentorship and the dedication that it takes, but we’re at that stage of our life where a contribution is important,” the DWTS co-host continued. “We want to connect with the next generation of dancers, helping them move forward. Latin and Ballroom is where we came from, but we also want to be able to infuse the multi-genres, so we feel like we’re going to be able to bring a new fresh spin on the convention and competition world. That’s exciting, and it feels good to be a part of it.”

Her brother added that they want to “bring two worlds together.” He explained: “The dance competition world is thriving — the talent is unbelievable. Then also the Ballroom and Latin world, which is its own world, we want to marry those together, and to bring the coaches and teachers who trained us to have masterclasses.”

Regarding whether the siblings will get along while working together on the tour, Derek told the outlet that while they do fight at times, they also collaborate really well. “I definitely think that we understand each other’s intentions if we do,” he said. “So if we ever do have a little misunderstanding or a fight, they’re very short-lived.”

He added: “I think we’ve had a very unique upbringing as well, where we moved to England. I was 12 years old, she was nine years old. So we really looked out for each other. We’re like a team.”

This is also not the first tour Derek and Julianne have done together. The duo previously teamed up for Move Live on Tour, which ran from 2014 to 2015, as well as MOVE BEYOND Live on Tour, which ran for four months in 2017.

Derek and Julianne come from a family of dancers and have been doing ballroom their whole lives. When they relocated to England as children, the pair lived and studied with famed dancers Corky and Shirley Ballas, who are the parents of former DWTS pro Mark Ballas. Julianne was the first to join Dancing With the Stars as a pro, making her debut in Season 4 and winning her first Mirrorball Trophy with her partner Apollo Anton Ohno. Derek soon followed and joined the show in Season 5. He went on to win six Mirrorballs and he still holds the title for the most wins of any pro.

Both siblings have since taken on new roles on the show; Derek joined the judges panel in Season 29, while Julianne began co-hosting with Alfonso Ribeiro in Season 32.
