After nearly seven months of marriage, the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer, 62, filed for divorce in May from Firerose. Since then, the split has taken an explosive turn, with both parties accusing the other of abuse in court filings.

In documents filed on Friday, June 14, the "New Day" artist accused Cyrus of “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse," while the "Some Gave All" musician filed paperwork 10 days later alleging he was verbally, emotionally and physically abused by Firerose.

In a separate filing, Cyrus claimed that Firerose “had been conducting a campaign to isolate” him from his family, Meanwhile, in June, Firerose told the New York Post's Page Six that her ex had “very strict rules,” and she experienced “systematic isolation” at his hands.

Cyrus cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct in the initial divorce filing as reason for the split, something Firerose denied being guilty of in a response filing.

Her ex-husband also filed paperwork for an annulment on the grounds of fraud.

The former couple are also battling over finances.
