The First Teaser for ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 Just Dropped
Finally, we have our first official look at The White Lotus season three.
On Sunday, right before the House of the Dragon finale, HBO dropped a sneak peek of the highly anticipated third installment, slated to return to Max in 2025. While there isn’t a ton of teaser to dissect, the brief clip showed first-look footage of several new characters checking into a luxe resort in sun-soaked Southeast Asia.

“What happens in Thailand, stays in Thailand,” we hear a female voice say in the video at the 52-second mark. It was previously reported that season three would be filmed around Bangkok, Phuket, and Ko Samui and take place at the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, in addition to Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas. To fans’ disappointment, the first teaser doesn’t give away the plot, however, it does show the only returning cast member Natasha Rothwell. In season one, Rothwell played spa manager Belinda Lindsey. But based on the clip, (mainly the look on her face and the fact that she’s not in uniform) it appears she could be back as a guest this time.

The video also offers a glimpse at what could be a new Mossbacher-type family helmed by newcomers Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola. In another shot, Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan are lounging together by the pool. Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, Aimee Lou Wood, and Lisa Manobal of Blackpink are also set to star in season three alongside Dom Hetrakul, Tayme Thapthimthong, Christian Friedel, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravi?ius, Charlotte Le Bon, and Julian Kostov.
HBO renewed The White Lotus for season three in November of last year, but production on the forthcoming installment was delayed due to the 2023 writers’ strike. Following the renewal, the show’s creator, Mike White, confirmed that the next season would be set in Thailand after season one took place in Maui and season two in Sicily. In an interview earlier this year with Vanity Fair, Coon teased that season three would focus on death.
“He [White] had a season about money; he had a season about sex. And this is his season about death,” Coon told the magazine. “So here we are in this Buddhist country. It bumps up against some things in my own life right now that are really interesting to think about, and so I’m feeling incredibly gratified.”
White also revealed that it’ll be a “supersized” season of The White Lotus that’s even “longer, bigger, and crazier” than previous installments. Buckle up!
