FKA Twigs Redefines Dystopian Drama in Rick Owens Boots for Paris Fashion Week
FKA Twigs served up the ultimate dystopian drama aesthetic for the Rick Owens Menswear Fall-Winter 2025/2026 show as part of Paris Fashion Week on Jan. 23.
The star made a striking appearance in a burnt orange minidress, which she layered with a cozy shearling jacket for an unexpected contrast. The singer accessorized with a pair of rectangular frames that added a touch of intellectual flair, a delicate silver pendant necklace that drew attention to her neckline, and a pair of sculptural knee-high boots that elongated her legs and made a bold statement.

Ever the trendsetter, FKA Twigs completed her avant-garde ensemble with faux tribal tattoos that adorned her arms and face, and a daring half-shaven bouffant hairdo that showcased her unique sense of style. The overall effect was a captivating blend of high-fashion and artistic expression, perfectly encapsulating FKA Twigs’ signature aesthetic.
When it came to footwear, she selected Rick Owens Porterville Runway Rhino Cargoflares in dust stretch lamb leather and groppone cow leather.
These thigh-high rhino cargoflares are crafted from a combination of stretch lamb leather and groppone cow leather. The heavyweight cow leather is veg tanned and finished using natural waxes, showcasing natural markings and shadings due to the absence of pigments, making each product unique.
The cargoflares feature a tight leather sock upper that joins a diagonal seam line running from the midpoint over the knee, sloping down to the centre back calf. A ridged, seamed rhino detail embellishes the front leg, with layers of horizontal spikes that extend to cover the foot, concealing a nearly 5-inch transparent heel. They also boast a thick, covered front platform and a beveled grill secured with silver rivets.
Most recently, FKA Twigs reprised her campaign for On’s Training Collection. The Swiss running brand has once again partnered with FKA Twigs as the face of the collection and a creative partner of the brand. She stars in the second iteration of the “The Body Is Art” campaign, spotlighting the intention to redefine training “as a living, breathing art form where the body becomes a canvas for creative movement,” the company said.
