Florence Pugh Pumps Up the Pink Volume in Tamara Ralph Couture Dress for ‘We Live In Time’ at Toronto International Film Festival 2024
At the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, Florence Pugh made a striking appearance at the world premiere of “We Live In Time,” a film in which she stars alongside Andrew Garfield. Pugh’s red-carpet moment was a testament to her evolving style, blending classic elegance with modern sophistication.
Styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Pugh donned a stunning pink gown from Tamara Ralph‘s fall 2024 couture collection. The strapless, floor-length gown featured a voluminous skirt with delicate ruching that cascaded into soft, flowing waves. The tailored bodice featured a sweetheart neckline that accentuated Pugh’s décolletage, while a statement black bow with a central black rose added an element of drama to the otherwise classic look. The glossy texture of the bow contrasted with the soft pink fabric, making it the focal point of the ensemble.

WWD’s Alex Wynne described the couture line in a review as evoking a love affair with Paris. “Tamara Ralph was in romantic mode,” Wynne wrote. “After two collections built around armor-like structures synonymous with feminine strength — and almost as if to prove her own resilience on her return to Paris — her fall offering was an ode to the city and the love affairs that begin here.”
Her accessories were kept minimal yet impactful. Pugh opted for a pair of delicate diamond drop earrings that added a touch of sparkle without overpowering the look. Her hair, styled in soft, glossy waves, was parted to the side, allowing the dress to take center stage. A soft, peachy nude lip and subtle smoky eye completed the makeup, complementing the romantic vibe of her ensemble.
Meanwhile, Garfield wore a blue suit with brown silk shirt from Gucci’s fall 2024 collection, accessorizing with the brand’s black Horsebit 1953 loafers.
“We Live In Time” follows the story of a young couple, played by Pugh and Garfield, as they navigate the challenges of love in the face of terminal illness. Pugh’s character battles stage 3 ovarian cancer.
