Fox ready to 'Shake, Rattle & Roll' with 'One Night'

Revisit the magical evening in 1956 when Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash found themselves jamming at the Sun Records studio in "One Night in Memphis" at the Fox Theater.

Billed as the official and No. 1-booked tribute to Presley, Perkins, Lewis and Cash, Friday's show is set to feature over 90 minutes of "pure rockabilly, country, gospel and rock and roll in a very authentic and energetic presentation" featuring nationally known talent.

The production created by John Mueller recreates the night of Dec. 4, 1956, when the four musicians, all at different stages in their careers, found themselves at Sam Phillips' studio and ended up in a storied jam session.

Doors open at 6 p.m., the show is at 7 p.m. Friday at the theater, 2001 H St.

Tickets, ranging from $45 to $60 (plus fees), are available at axs.com, by calling 661-324-1369 or at the Fox box office from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
