Frankie Muniz's 5-story brownstone 'destroyed' in flood caused by his cat: 'You wouldn't believe the destruction'
Frankie Muniz is having a terrible week.
After traveling to France for a funeral, the Malcolm in the Middle actor returned home to find most of his 5-story brownstone flooded because of an incident involving his cat. His feline friend accidentally turned on a sink — and the destruction was real.
I arrived home from my uncle's funeral to find 4 of my 5 story brownstone home under 3 feet of water. Everything I own, destroyed. Every wall, piece of artwork, personal photos, furniture… All because my cat accidentally turned on a sink a few days ago while we were gone.

Needless to say, it’s been rough. “I’ve cried more yesterday and today [than in] my whole life combined,” he said.
I'm devastated and exhausted from a tough week with the loss of my Uncle Skip, 45 hours of travel to and from France to walk in to find this disaster. I've cried more yesterday and today then my whole life combined. Forgive me for venting.. I just need some support.

Muniz, who is co-hosting Dancing With the Stars Juniors these days in addition to other gigs, said his girlfriend, Paige Price, is helping him through this terrible time.
Thank God I have @paigey_price to help me get through this. I'd be lost without her. She's so strong and exactly what I need.

And she posted a video from their home, reporting the scale of the work that has to be done.
Muniz said the destruction is overwhelming.
I know this sounds ridiculous, but I swear it's true. You wouldn't believe the destruction.

As if all that weren’t enough, on Saturday morning, Muniz shared that they’re staying in a hotel where the fire alarm went off during the night.
Just woke up to fire alarms and had to evacuate the hotel we are staying in because of what happened to our house. This has been an eventful week.

The former child star appeared on Dancing With the Stars in 2017 and opened up about his health issues. They stemmed from a serious car crash in 2009 when he was competing as a pro race car driver, and they led to memory loss. He has said he doesn’t really have memories of being on the hit show Malcolm in the Middle, which made him a star.
It’s been a rough week for celebrity homes in general. The wildfires in California led to many celebrities — Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke and Camille Grammer included — having their homes burned to the ground.
