Free tickets to Michigan Central Station concert available starting Tuesday
Tickets for the milestone concert marking the reopening of Detroit’s Michigan Central Station will be available starting at noon Tuesday.
Artists haven’t yet been announced for the free June 6 event, a 90-minute show outside the restored train station. But producers have promised a slate of “legendary Detroit performers,” and major names have been circulating among music industry sources in recent weeks. Artists will be performing short sets.
Registration will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at michigancentral.com/open beginning at noon Tuesday. Individuals will be limited to two tickets each, Michigan Central officials said Monday.
The concert will accommodate about 15,000 attendees, organizers have said, and will be livestreamed.

The June 6 concert is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. in Roosevelt Park, in front of the resurrected train station. Entry will begin at 6 p.m.
The show is being produced by the Los Angeles-based Jesse Collins Entertainment, whose portfolio has included Emmy Awards, the BET Honors and Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime performance in 2023.
