George and Amal Clooney looked so in love at the 2018 Met Gala… and all these other times
Well, they did it again. George Clooney and wife Amal Clooney managed to look both stunningly gorgeous and incredibly, happily in love, at at the 2018 Met Gala on Monday evening, which she co-chaired.
The movie star/activist and the human rights lawyer have inspired relationship goals since they began dating in late 2013. Their glamorous wardrobes help, but a lot of it has to do with the adoring way that they look at each other, like they’re always sharing a private joke. In the years since they married in September 2014, the interest in their romance has only grown and so, it appears, has the love.
Here are some of their best moments over the last few years, many of which took place on the red carpet.
Certainly No.1 on our list is the adoring way that he looked at her at this year’s edition of fashion’s big party.
Just two weeks before their star-studded wedding, Amal sweetly rested her head on George’s shoulder at a charity event for all the world to see — a bold move since the two are careful to keep their relationship as private as possible. He didn’t seem to mind a bit.
The couple has shared memorable moments with the public elsewhere, too. The day after their nuptials, when they beamed from a taxi boat, was one of the sweetest.
In her first red carpet appearance since becoming Mrs. Clooney, Amal went Old Hollywood. As a result, she and her husband were breathtaking at the 2015 Golden Globes. She wore long, white gloves that she made herself, George declared proudly. “She sewed them this morning,” he revealed. “She’s very handy.”
They forgot about everyone else in the world at the premiere of his movie, Hail, Caesar!, in 2016.
At the May 2016 premiere of his movie Money Monster at the Venice Film Festival, George was so enamored of his wife that he didn’t even seem to notice that his good friend Julia Roberts was by his side.
The guy didn’t know what hit him.
The philanthropist beamed with pride alongside his activist wife when they appeared at the United Nations in September 2016.
The couple famously welcomed twins, Ella and Alexander, in June 2017. Just three months later and boom, there were George and Amal looking all gorgeous again en route to the premiere of his Suburbicon.
Just one day before the 2018 Met Gala, the two enjoyed a date night on George’s 57th birthday. He looked like he was one happy man.
