George Clooney and Wife Amal Spend Easter With Family in Ireland
George and Amal Clooney had a family-filled Easter weekend.
According to the Irish Independent, the power couple visited Ireland after the 57-year-old actor's parents, Nick, 85, and Nina, 80, planned a trip so their son could reconnect with his relatives who reside in the country.
"The first thing he said when he arrived was, ‘The Irish Clooneys are doing OK.’ He’s an absolute gentleman," George's cousin, Andy Ring, told the publication.
The Irish Independent also reports that George had dinner with U2's Bono at Dublin’s Coppinger Row during his trip.

The Clooneys have relatives in the small Irish town of Abbeyleix, according to irishheritagetowns.com, and the relatives have stayed in contact with George's father since learning of their ancestry from a family tree.
“He came over in 2007 and saw the cottage next door to me and we went to Kilkenny to the old family home and out for dinner,” Fiona Clooney, George’s Irish cousin, said of Nick while speaking with the website. “I have to say, he’s such a lovely man. He’s a real genuine person and he’s so grounded and down to earth.”
Fiona also noted that she has visited the Clooneys at their home in New York.
The family reunion has spurred an upcoming documentary called George Clooney’s Irish Roots -- The Real Descendants, helmed by documentary maker Gabriel Murray.
