Glen Powell Looks Unrecognizable While Spotted Out Filming New Show

Glen Powell's next role is apparently quite a departure from his star-making turns in Top Gun: Maverick and Twisters.

The 34-year-old actor was recently spotted looking drastically different while filming his new show, Chad Powers, in Atlanta.

As The Daily Mail reported, Powell was photographed wearing a shaggy wig, prosthetic nose, fake teeth, and a mustache, along with a pair of yellow shorts and a dark blue Nike shirt with the number 200 printed on the front.

According to Deadline, the upcoming Hulu series is based on Eli Manning's ESPN+ skit and stars Powell as a disgraced college football quarterback named Russ Holliday who "disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers."

On August 21, Hulu shared a behind-the-scenes photo of a digital clapperboard with the caption "First day on set ?? #ChadPowers."

In the comments, Powell fans expressed their enthusiasm.

"Thank god! I was running out of Glen shows to watch," wrote one person.

"glenny boy as a football player. I’m here for it," commented a second Instagram user.

"Can’t wait for more glen ??????," raved a third fan.

In addition to playing the lead role, Powell co-created and is executive-producing the series along with Eli Manning and Michael Waldron.

In February, Powell and Waldron released a joint statement calling themselves "diehard college football fans."

"When we saw Eli as Chad Powers, we knew that was the way into a big, fun story about this world," the statement continued. "We're excited to be part of this team, and can't wait to get Chad in the game. Think fast, run fast."
