GloRilla surprises sold-out crowd at Rod Wave, Moneybagg Yo show in Memphis
Rod Wave continued his Last Lap Tour on Saturday night at FedExForum in Memphis, performing in front of a sold-out crowd that was in for a special surprise.
Before the introspective lyricist hit the stage, fans were treated to sets from Lil Poppa, Dess Dior, Toosii and Memphis' own Moneybagg Yo.
The CMG rapper was welcomed home to a standing ovation. He performed close to two dozen of his hits and brought out artist YTB FATT, who is signed to Moneybagg's Bread Gang label, to perform a couple songs for the crowd.
The entire arena seemed to be on its feet when the instrumental for "On Wat U On," a Moneybagg/GloRilla duet, pumped through the speakers. Screams escalated to roars when the DJ ran the track back, revealing GloRilla walking onto the stage.

During her surprise appearance, GloRilla, who landed two Grammy nominations Friday, treated fans to "TGIF" and "Hollon" before turning the stage back over to Moneybagg, who closed his set by receiving a proclamation from Shelby County Commissioner Mickell Lowery.
Wave's headlining performance featured innovative visuals, pyrotechnics and a retrospective of his work before launching into new tracks from his latest album, "Last Lap."
The Florida rapper emerged from an elevator in the stage floor, donning diamonds around his neck and wrists — his only companions on stage. Wave performed solo, no hype man required. Only a DJ and live band accompanied him throughout the set.
Despite the record being less than a month old, the Memphis crowd enthusiastically sang along to every word as Wave performed tracks from the new release like “Fall Fast in Love” and “Passport Junkie.”
The next stop on the Last Lap Tour is Tuesday in Pittsburgh.
