Grammy-winners, legends headline Peoria Blues & Heritage Festival lineup

Blues, soul and Americana singer Shemekia Copeland, Blues Hall of Famer and three-time Grammy winner Bobby Rush, and Chicago-based blues singer, songwriter and guitarist Joanna Connor will perform at the Peoria Blues & Heritage Festival on Aug. 30-31 on the Peoria riverfront.

Also appearing will be Here Come the Mummies, as well as five-time Grammy-nominated blues singer, songwriter and pianist Marcia Ball, reported Jay Goldberg Events & Entertainment in a news release. Dwayne Dopsie & The Zydeco Hellraisers and local funk rockers Steady Flow are also expected to perform.

Tickets are $20 a day and up and available at peoriabluesandheritagefestival.com/tickets/ More artists are expected to be announced.

Reserved seating is available. No outside alcohol, bottles, cans, coolers or pets are allowed.
