'Grey's Anatomy' Star Jesse Williams Fails To Reach Deal With Ex-Wife, Headed to Trial

“Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams and his ex-wife are headed to trial in their battle to lower his $100k a month support checks, after failing to reach a deal in mediation.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the actor and his ex Aryn Drake-Lee attended a court-ordered mediation, in hopes they could hash out a settlement over all issues and avoid going to trial.

Williams and Drake-Lee were able to reach a partial settlement, but no written agreement was prepared as they were unable to reach a full settlement for all issues. The trial is scheduled to begin on September 5 in Los Angeles Court.

The actor and his ex-have been battling for more than a year over the $100,000 a month in support he pays. Williams believes the amount should be greatly reduced saying its way too high.

Drake-Lee is expected to argue for no reduction in the child support he pays her per month. She also believes he owes her $1 million in retroactive support.

The $100k a month is broken down to $50k for child and another $50k for spousal support.

Earlier this year, Drake-Lee was able to score a small victory in the case when a judge awarded her $60k from Williams, to cover her attorney fees for the upcoming trial.

Drake-Lee and Williams currently have joint legal custody with a flexible physical custody plan to accommodate his “Grey’s Anatomy” shooting schedule.

She also wanted a consistent schedule, saying her ex doesn’t provide her with his “Grey’s” shooting schedule but wants him to turn it over weekly.

Jesse and Aryn married in 2012 and split in 2017. They share two kids from their marriage.
