Gypsy Rose Blanchard Announces Major Family Update: 'Very Excited'
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is preparing for a whole new life stage: motherhood.
The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup star shared the major news in a YouTube video on Tuesday, July 9, appearing on camera to deliver the announcement that she is pregnant.
The 32-year-old—who spent much of her childhood being subject to painful medical abuse and played a role in the 2015 killing of her mother, Dee Dee—was released on parole in Dec. 2023, and is now preparing to become a first time mom.
"I'm happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant," she said in the start of the video, after stating that rumors had been "flying around for quite some time now."
Blanchard recently rekindled a relationship with Ken Urker, whom she dated during her time in prison. Urker proposed in 2018, however the relationship ended years before her release. She went on to marry her now ex, Ryan Anderson, while serving time.
"Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025. We're both very excited. This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we're both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood," she continued in her reveal video.
Blanchard later took to Instagram to share a collection of pregnancy announcement photos of the couple, where they showcased their growing baby's sonogram images.
The couple appeared joyous in the photoset, as Urker held her stomach and they gazed into each other's eyes. Another picture found them holding up an infant-sized tan knit sweater that read "Hi."
"We are proud to announce we are expecting our first child in January 2025?? announcement video on YouTube (link in bio) Thank you to the photographer @m0therofchaos for the amazing photos," she captioned the snapshots.
