“The collection has the DNA of the costume design, my insights into the characters and is inspired by the chaos and wonder of Season 3,” Bovaird exclusively tells The Hollywood Reporter of the limited-edition line. “We created a capsule collection for the fans of The White Lotus to take away on vacation or to mix with denim and manifest their own wild adventure in their home town.”

The capsule is comprised of “quintessential White Lotus caftans that the characters float around in, sexy swimwear for the characters on the prowl … [and] day-to-night wear to chuck on after a sun kissed beach day,” the HBO Original Series’ costume designer continues. This is in addition to long, billowing maxis, flouncy halter-neck dresses, woven hats, tote bags, sunglasses, jewelry and slides. Bovaird describes this season’s costumes as “bolder than ever” and aimed to “capture that in this collection with H&M.”

Throughout the design process, Bovaird worked closely with H&M’s creative advisor, Ann-Sofie Johansson. “To collaborate on a collection is to tap into a cultural moment,” Johansson tells THR. “The influence of TV and cinema on fashion is significant, and as a designer, you must stay very curious and open to what is happening in popular culture. Plus, this partnership meant we could create a glamorous and dreamy resort collection.”
