Halle Berry Makes Bold Claim About Ex-Husband in New Court Docs

Halle Berry is pushing back against her ex-husband Olivier Martinez's recent request with a fiery claim about their co-parenting agreement.

Legal documents obtained by several media outlets this week reveal the Catwoman actress believes Martinez, 58, has violated the terms of their agreement nearly all summer.

In copies of the paperwork reviewed by the New York Post and People, Berry alleged: "Unilaterally decided to defer coparenting therapy altogether until September because he was traveling to France in the month of July and because his brother will be visiting him in the month of August in Los Angeles.”

According to the 57-year-old's filing, which was made at a Los Angeles-area courthouse last week, the former couple's "coparenting therapy was supposed to commence forthwith and the agreed-upon six conjoint sessions were to be completed by June 14, 2024. It is now July 26, 2024, and they have not even started."

“Olivier has effectively unilaterally decided to take ‘the summer off,'” the docs further alleged, noting that all of the previously agreed upon sessions take place virtually via Zoom.

The court docs also suggest Berry has “tried everything to foster a better coparenting relationship with Olivier” but “rather than support, she is met with resistance and conflict.”

"[Martinez] has chosen to repeatedly violate agreements and court orders with careless disregard," the filing continued. "To him, the terms of the parties’ stipulated court orders are simply suggestions to follow when it benefits him and which he ignores when it does not fit his alienation agenda."

The Moonfall actress also slammed her ex-husband's behavior for harming the couple's son, Maceo, and causing "further damage to the parties’ already strained relationship."

Berry married the French actor in 2013, after about three years of dating, and welcomed their first and only child shortly after. The duo filed for divorce in 2016, and were embroiled in a tumultuous battle for years. Their divorce wasn't settled until 2023, and their current co-parenting agreement was only reached this past May.
