Nikki DeLoach has starred in many romantic Hallmark movies, but her real-life romance with husband Ryan Goodell is better than any script. DeLoach, who most recently stars in Hallmark Mystery’s Curious Caterer: Forbidden Fruit, first met her love in 1999 — when he was in a boy band.

Goodell was a member of Take 5, the boy band that formed in 1997 and disbanded in 2001. Ryan graduated from UCLA in 2005 and from Loyola Law School in May 2009. He now works as an entertainment lawyer.
DeLoach and Goodell dated for 10 years before they got married in September 2009, and went on to have two sons, Hudson in 2013 and Bennett in 2017.
DeLoach celebrated their 15 years of marriage in a September 2024 Instagram post featuring her and Goodell in their younger years and at their wedding. “?? 15 YEARS ?? We’ve known better and worse. We’ve had years where we didn’t know how we would make rent, but together, we always figured it out,” she wrote. “And we’ve always been rich in love, family, friends and community. We’ve faced sickness. And we’ve experienced the miracle of healing and good health. And through it all, I have loved you more with each passing year. Happy Anniversary, babe. I love you so much.”

Her June 2024 Father’s Day Instagram post highlighted how much her husband means to her and the kids. “To the booker of all trips, the carrier of tired and sleepy children (even while on the phone working), the walker (and pooper scooper) of the animals and the maker of all coffee, we love you so much,” the actor wrote. “Thank you for the thousands of ways you show us everyday how much you love us back. And thank you for letting the boys crawl in our bed at night (even though they leave you no room and you sleep horribly) because you know it makes us so happy.”
DeLoach added, “And thank you for pushing them (and me and my PTSD) to be brave and soar, whether that be on the mountain or on a roller coaster (I literally close my eyes and pray to God). Happy Father’s Day, to the only man I know who can read a book and sleep at the same time. Maybe one day they will let you eat your entire s’more. Love you so much, babe. ??”
In a 2019 interview with Parade, DeLoach shared the secret to the couple’s enduring relationship. “I believe that love is something that grows, I do. I also, by the way, was never a person who enjoyed dating,” she said at the time. “For me, I was more of a let-me-get-to-know-you-a-little-bit person and then maybe let’s go get dinner. [I’m like,] ‘Let’s hang out a little bit. Let’s talk about each other’s lives. Let me hear about you and then when I feel comfortable, then maybe you and I can go to a movie or something like that.’”
She added, “So, I’m definitely a love grows kind of person.”

Her career with Hallmark has definitely provided her with the perfect balance of work and family time. “No. 1, if you’re a mom, it’s so ideal [to work with Hallmark]. You pop off, you know, [and] you’re there for three and a half weeks or whatever it is. Sometimes you can take your family, sometimes your family stays,” she told Us Weekly in February 2023.
DeLoach added, “But you’re not away doing a series for six months out of the year away from your family. You have the luxury of being able to be a mom and also work. That is a beautiful thing for me, with two small children at five and nine.”
