Halloween 2020: Celebs show off their costumes inspired by 'Tiger King,' Cardi B and more

While this Halloween is different in a lot of ways, some things remain comfortingly the same — like celebrities, including noted fans of the holiday such as Heidi Klum and Vanessa Hudgens, going all out with elaborate costumes.

Several of the getups reflected pop culture, especially Netflix’s popular series Tiger King. Kim Kardashian wore leopard print and a flower crown to perfectly parody Carole Baskin, while her longtime friend Jonathan Cheban played Baskin’s nemesis, Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joe Maldonado-Passage. Kardashian’s four kids with husband Kanye West — North, 7; Saint, 4; Chicago, 2; and 1-year-old Psalm — dressed as the big cats. Country singer Jason Aldean was another Joe Exotic, filming his own version of the music video Maldonado-Passage featured in the show. Morning talk show hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest took their own stab at the docuseries, in which Seacrest played the tiger.

Elsewhere, there were costumes that were delightful — such as Mindy Kaling’s look, inspired by the Kaling-produced show Never Have I Ever — elaborate (Heidi Klum), and creative (we’re looking at you, Kelly Clarkson!). Nelly’s frightening ensemble was one of many on the Dancing With the Stars costume extravaganza, while pregnant Emily Ratajkowski took inspiration from Demi Moore’s iconic bump-baring magazine cover.
