Add the cast of "The Goonies" to the list of entertainers hoping to boost spirits during the coronavirus pandemic.
"Goonies" superfan Josh Gad hosts a nearly 30-minute "Reunited Apart" reunion special that posted to YouTube on Monday, featuring a few re-enactments of classic scenes from the 1985 cult classic. The "Frozen" actor hinted more film reunions could be coming as the battle against COVID-19 continues.
"As many of us watching this wish we could catch up with each other right now, it is my sincerest hope that catching up with some old friends of all of us will bring much-needed joy to each and every one of you," he says at the video's start.

Sean Astin (Mikey), Josh Brolin (Brand) and Corey Feldman (Mouth) are among the "Goonies" cast members who appear in the video, which already had 20,000 views within two hours of its release.
In the 35-year-old film, a group of kids in Oregon band together to find a pirate ship that has enough treasure to save their families' homes from being foreclosed upon. Gad says he saw "Goonies" for the first time when he was 4.
"Most importantly, that day I learned four words that forever changed my life: Goonies never say die," Gad says.

After catching up with the various cast members, getting updates on their personal and professional lives, the best part โ the re-enactments โ begins, including the infamous wishing well scene.
The video also takes a moment to pay tribute to two cast members who have died: Anne Ramsey (1988) and John Matuszak (1989).
One of several special guests is Steven Spielberg, who executive produced "Goonies." He says there are regular conversations about a sequel. In the end, though, Spielberg says each new idea he and others come up with "doesn't hold water."

Gad is asking fans who watch the video to donate to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy's COVID-19 relief fund โ even if it's "just pocket change," he says.
"Our hope is that every episode of 'Reunited Apart' will focus on a charity established to help those most in need during these desperate times," he said.
