“Music brings us together. Hillary Clinton has built a campaign around the idea that we are stronger together as a country if we work to break down the barriers that hold Americans back,” said Clinton campaign spokeswoman Kristina Schake in a statement.
“In this effort, we’re proud to have the support of these talented artists who have a track record of using their platform to make positive change in their communities. These artists are helping us put a spotlight on some of the issues Hillary Clinton is focusing on in her campaign including creating economic opportunity, protecting and expanding LGBT and women’s rights, as well as tackling climate change. There is too much at stake in this election and we are lucky to have these creative partners in this effort.”
The “She’s With Us” playlist digs deep into each artist’s catalog, moving from Wonder’s “I Wish” and “I Was Made to Love Her” to Aguilera’s “We Remain” and “Army of Me” and Legend’s “Refuge (When It’s Cold Outside” and “Shine.” The 30-track list also features plenty of hits from Aguilera (“What a Girl Wants”), Ricky Martin (“Shake Your Bon-Bon”), Common (“Glory”) and Wonder (“Higher Ground”).
It also features a number of tracks from Andra Day, including “Cheers to the Fall,” a cover of “Mississippi Goddamn,” “City Burns” and “Rise Up.”
