Some people deal with confrontation head on, others avoid it, and a smaller group reach out to hosts of daytime talk shows to see how they’d react.

In a video posted on Oct. 14 by the morning show, the duo address a fan head-on, giving conflicting advice on what to do when being ghosted by a friend. The fan shared that they’ve known this friend for years but that she’s always too busy for them, and with an event coming up where they’ll run into her, they need advice on what to do.
“I think you just ghost her right back,” said Bush Hager before asking Kotb if that’s a bad idea. “Yes,” said Kotb, shaking her head in disagreement and proclaiming “stop being a baby!”
Kotb then went on to suggest a more friendly approach. “I think you just go ‘hey, how are you?’ Just a normal, pleasant hello,” she said. “You have no ill will, you don’t even know what happened,” she continued, suggesting that the fan be “super polite and not cold shoulder-y.”
“It doesn’t have to be awkward if you change the narrative,” agreed Bush Hager.
Kotb and Bush Hager also gave advice on additional topics in the segment, including what to do if you’re expecting a baby but none of your loved ones have scheduled a shower for you. Their suggestion? Ask what they’re planning for you, even if you suspect that they're putting together a surprise party to mark the occasion.
