Just when we thought the Holly Madison-Kendra Wilkinson feud had simmered down, it took another nasty turn on Thursday.
The former Girls Next Door co-stars and ex-girlfriends of Hugh Hefner have been publicly sparring since last year, and time certainly hasn’t healed all wounds. Holly, 36, is promoting her new book, The Vegas Diaries: Romance, Rolling the Dice, and the Road to Reinvention, which details her life after leaving the Playboy Mansion.
“It was a constant struggle,” she recently told People about her seven years living in Hefner’s home. “I was trying to sell this image of ‘Oh, everything is so great here,’ but I was miserable inside. … There was so much competition among the other women. I learned not to confide in certain people. There was a lot of fear. If I could go back and do things differently, I wouldn’t be scared of people. … And I’d push the boundaries a lot more. The number of times I stuck up for myself at the Mansion I could probably count on one hand.”
Kendra, 30, caught wind of that quote and launched a series of NSFW tweets.
“Now Holly is on cover of People mag sayin she lived in fear at the mansion. She wasn’t in fear with that d**k in her ass for a paycheck,” one read (you can see the other deleted tweets here).
Yahoo Celebrity spoke with Holly shortly after Kendra fired off those remarks on Thursday.
“Yeah, you know, I’m out promoting this book, which is about reinvention, and moving on, and letting go of the past, and when people have asked me about her — she’s been trash-talking and things over the past couple of months — I just don’t respond to it because I don’t want to play into all of the publicity games,” Holly told us. “I just don’t respond to it because I’ve left all of that behind me.”
She said, laughing, “It’s like me not responding makes her more and more and more angry … so I’m still not responding!”
So could Holly ever imagine trying to reconcile with her former frenemy?
“I mean, I wish her the best, but I’m not…” she said, then paused. “You know, I’m happy with my husband and [life] now.”
We’ll take that as a polite no.
Kendra has since apologized for her remarks of this morning.
I know my recent posts were a little over the top, and I apologize for that. Sticking up for me n my beliefs is hard for me at times. Sorry.

Kendra’s comments really play into the message Holly hopes readers get out of her new book.
“I think the biggest takeaway [for readers] is don’t be afraid of change and reinvention and following your dreams,” she told Yahoo Celebrity. “For some reason, humans are so scared to see change in other people, even people that care about you for whatever reason. Sometimes that can make you afraid to change or afraid to go after your dreams. There’s always going to be people who try and drag you down, or only attach you with things in your past or always remind you of those things. You just need to keep your head held high and work toward your goal and your dreams.”
