Hugh Jackman’s ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Promo Shoe Lineup Gets a Casual Update With Converse One Star Sneakers

Hugh Jackman continued the promotional circuit for his upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine” film in a pair of red and white One Star Converse sneakers while attending the live taping of Etalk Presents: “Deadpool & Wolverine” at Bell Media Headquarters in Toronto.
Casual has been the theme for most of Jackman’s looks during this tour, which was also the case for this Toronto appearance. Sporting a pair of jeans, a simple white t-shirt and a pair of shades to go along with his kicks, Jackman’s sneakers were designed in a bold red colorway, which itself was accentuated by off-white laces. The shoes were crafted with suede material in the upper and a durable rubber outsole.
Co-star buddy Ryan Reynolds has also chosen Converse during this past month of promotion, attending a press conference for the movie in Shanghai in a high-top variation that is made similarly to its One Star counterpart in terms of its noteworthy construction. That variation, however, is made with canvas and has media eyelets, which, per the brand, add to its breathable nature.
While Jackman elected to wear the red iteration, these One Star’s come in multiple different colors ranging from the standard black and white colors, to more bold choices like red and blue. Over the years, Converse has established a reputation for itself as an elite brand in the world of footwear, apparel and accessories, most notably with their All-Star Classics being regarded as the brand’s most iconic model due to its high-profile design that garners instant recognition and a durable build that lasts for a long time.
The high-top variation of that particular model has been seen on a number of celebrities over the years, including Justin Bieber, Willow Smith, Sabrina Carpenter and plenty more. The One Star variation is also quite popular among sneakerheads.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” focuses on Wolverine as he recovers from his injuries. He then crosses paths with the loudmouth Deadpool, and together, they team up to defeat a common enemy. The film was directed by Shawn Levy and will be released in theaters on July 26.
