According to a new report, Sutherland owned a $3 million condo in Florida at the time of his death. The property is located in a 44-story luxury building in South Beach, with its community coming with 24-hour valet and security.

The lavish condo became a part of Sutherland's real estate portfolio after he sold off his West Coast properties over a decade ago. From 1970 until 2006, the actor lived in a beachfront pad in Santa Monica, California.

"Boasting a charming nautical theme throughout, this property offers a picturesque seaside lifestyle with breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and stunning sunsets," the beach pad's real estate listing read.

However, he sold off the oceanview home in 2006 and purchased a modest 1,960 square-foot property with his wife, Francine Racette, for $1,610,000 in 2012. In Touch noted Sutherland briefly moved to Beverly Hills before getting the Florida condo.

The love for Sutherland continued, with other celebrities reflecting on their favorite memories with the late actor. The Blast reported that fellow Hollywood veteran Jane Fonda penned a touching message for her former co-star on Instagram.

She shared a throwback picture of Sutherland in his prime from the set of their hit 1971 film "Klute," where he played the titular character John Klute. Alongside this image came her tribute to the actor, which began:

"I am stunned to hear that Donald Sutherland has died. He was my fascinating co-star in Klute, and we loved working together. In this photo, we are on the Klute set with director Alan Pakula."

"Donald was a brilliant actor and a complex man who shared quite a few adventures with me. Such as the FTA Show, an anti-Vietnam war tour that performed for 60,000 active duty soldiers, sailors, and marines in Hawaii, Okinawa, the Philippines, and Japan in 1971," Fonda continued, adding, "I am heartbroken."

The 1971 movie, "Klute," had a special place in Fonda and Sutherland's hearts because their on-screen romance became a reality. The co-stars briefly dated after their film and worked on several projects together.

One of these projects included staging a traveling anti-war roadshow in front of US soldiers, a reaction to Bob Hope's United Service Organisations (USO) tour for the troops during the Vietnam War.

The then-couple's show eventually became a documentary titled "FTA" in 1972, capturing the anti-war sentiment of the era. Besides sparking their romance, "Klute" earned Fonda the Oscar for Best Actress and Sutherland more recognition for his acting skills.
