The hysterical 'very mindful, very demure' TikTok videos, explained
The new TikTok trends seemingly take off faster than a cat who just learned it's bath time, and we're trying to keep up.
If you’re here, you’re probably wondering: What is this "very mindful, very demure" business, and why are so many people saying it?
Well, it started with internet personality Jools LeBron.
Jools uses "very demure, very mindful" in many of their videos as they go about doing everyday things like putting on makeup, going to work, traveling and so forth. It's 100 percent satire meant to poke fun at situations and societal norms in which people are typically expected to be very respectful and sensible.
It's seemingly unknown why this trend is catching on so quickly — other than purely for the shenanigans, which we are totally here for — but the videos are just too good.
Of course, the wave has gotten so big that tiny humans and dogs are involved, and now we can't stop watching.
Shoutout to Jools for finding a clever way to poke fun at a lot of the nonsense the internet seems to hold. These videos are gold.
