Iconic NJ music venue Randy Now's Man Cave moving from Bordentown to Hightstown
Randy Now's Man Cave, the iconic record shop and music venue, is moving from Bordentown to Hightstown.
Randy “Now” Ellis, owner of the Man Cave and former promoter of the legendary City Gardens of Trenton, said that the move to Hightstown on June 1 will add additional parking for customers and enable Ellis to reinstate live music at the venue.
“We're pretty much going to double the space we have now up in Hightstown,” said Ellis on April 30.
Graham Parker, Mike Score of the Flock of Seagulls, the Amazing Kreskin, Marshall Crenshaw, Midge Ure and many more have played the Man Cave.
The new location will be at 119 West Ward St., next to the Old Hights Brewing Company and across the street from the Hightstown Diner.
“It's going to be a real hip little section of town,” Ellis said.
A lifelong Bordentown resident, Ellis promoted shows, including concerts by the Ramones, Nirvana, Jane's Addiction, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M., Red Hot Chili Peppers and more during his run in the 1980s and '90s as promoter of City Gardens on Calhoun Street in Trenton.
