Ike Barinholtz Reveals the Only Way His 3 Daughters Will Ever Find Him 'Cool': 'My Cross to Bear' (Exclusive)

Ike Barinholtz admits he has a ways to go before being deemed the cool dad.
On Wednesday, Aug. 14, The Mindy Project actor, 47, competed on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire with his dad Alan Barinholtz, where the father-son duo eventually brought home the show's $1 million grand prize for charity together.
Alan and Ike spoke to PEOPLE ahead of the episode's release, and Ike shared that even his million-dollar win doesn't make him "cool" to his three kids.
"My kids don't think I'm cool until I'm featuring on a Dua Lipa song," Ike tells PEOPLE of his daughters Foster, 10, Payton, 7, and his youngest, 5, whom he shares with wife Erica Hanson.

"I'm not cool," he continues, "So that's just, I have to live with that. That's my cross to bear."
Luckily for Ike, Alan disagrees. "Ike is, first of all, the coolest son, as is Johnny [Barinholtz]," Alan tells PEOPLE. "So, I think they are cool dads."
The actor and his wife welcomed their third daughter in April 2018, announcing the news on a red carpet for his film Blockers in Los Angeles and showing off his hospital bracelet, which he hadn’t yet taken off. The 5-year-old's name has still not been revealed.

“I just had a baby. I wear [the bracelet] until it kinda falls off. Like the umbilical cord,” he joked to Entertainment Tonight. “I drank a lot of coffee today, but we have not slept in a few days, but we’re gettin’ there.”
Barinholtz admitted that since this was his third, nothing surprised him about his little one — even if the big news surprised his fans.
“This is my third so there’s no more surprises,” he told the outlet. “There’s only breast milk and poop, that’s all there is."
