The Impossible Heir episode 10: Lee Jae-Wook leaves prison for good
The latest episode of The Impossible Heir began with Kang In-Ha meeting his father and Chairman Kang Joong-Mo. The latter asked In-Ha to leave the conglomerate and return to his poor life. Moreover, Joong-Mo also noted that his In-Ha was worthless. During their confrontation, Joong-Mo suffered an attack and fell into his bathtub. Instead of saving his father, In-Ha pushed the chairman back into the water and left.
Meanwhile, the family visited the hospital. The family doctor revealed that Joong-Mo was unconscious and only time would decide his fate. On the other hand, Tae-Oh arrived at the chairman’s house to inspect the bathtub. In-Ha arrived at the office later and discovered the secret room, realizing that his suspicions about Tae-Oh living there previously were true.
Tae-Oh met with prosecutor Ha Myeong-Jin the following day, telling the latter about Shin Bona’s phone and its recording. Initially, Myeong-Jin denied helping Tae-Oh and Kang Oh as he was fired because of them. However, Tae-Oh allowed him to redeem himself and return to the Seoul office. Meanwhile, In-Ha pressured spy Seonu Wan to find Tae-Oh’s whereabouts. The spy saw Tae-Oh meet with the prosecutor and deleted all his files.
Myeong-Jin discovered Bona’s phone in the evidence database, but he couldn’t find any photos or videos of the night of her and In-Ju’s murder. However, Tae-Oh found them on the phone, and it detailed In-Ju’s former assistant and In-Ha’s friend Mo Gi-Jun as the criminal. Tae-Oh asked Myeong-Jin to charge Mo Gi-Jun first, and then he revealed the real culprit behind the murder.
While Myeong-Jin returned to the main office, Tae-Oh turned himself back to the police. Later, Myeong-Jin arrested Gi-Jun on charges of In-Ju and Bona’s murder. Meanwhile, Chu Hyeok-Jin advised Tae-Oh that Milton’s law firm would defend him at trial.
Later that night, In-Ha met with Park Sajin to confirm their collaboration. In-Ha knew that the latter met with Joong-Mo, who offered him Kang Oh Energy. However, Park Sajin refused the offer and decided to side with the chairman. He told In-Ha that until the chairman was alive, he wouldn’t be able to take over the conglomerate.
In-Ha came home to see Hye-Won had left him. She even left her ring on the table. In-Ha wondered why she chose to go now. Tae-Oh met with Mr. Tak in prison and told the latter about a paper company he created, Gold H Investment, to help make In-Ha the chairman. Tae-Oh asked Mr. Tak to join him in the gamble of seizing Kang Oh Group’s control.
The following day, Mr. Tak met with Hye-Won and Seonu Wan after his release from prison. They revealed that he was named as the CEO of Gold H Investment. They brought in shares that increased the company’s ratio within the conglomerate. Hye-Won then met with Tae-Oh, asking him to leave prison and pull the final trigger. Meanwhile, In-Ha nervously asked an employee to look into the company.
By the end of the episode, a judge ruled in Tae-Oh’s favor, declaring his release. After hearing this news, In-Ha asked his employee to track Tae-Oh’s movements. After his plans failed, In-Ha visited an unconscious Joong-Mo and tried to kill his father once again. However, Tae-Oh arrived in time to stop it. The two friends-turned-enemies finally faced each other.
