The Impossible Heir Episode 7: Lee Jae-Wook tries to get out of his murder charge
The latest episode 7 of The Impossible Heir began with Kang In-Ju blackmailing Han Tae-Oh to visit the club and hold Na Hye-Won hostage. Believing Hye-Won to be in jeopardy, Tae-Oh rushed to the club only to find out that In-Ju had already let go of her. Although Tae-Oh had a few tricks up his sleeve against In-Ju, the latter successfully manipulated Tae-Oh into following his orders using Hye-Won’s name.
In-Ju drugged Tae-Oh, following which the latter didn’t remember the rest of the night. The following morning, Tae-Oh found himself bloodied and holding a weapon. He was shocked to see In-Ju and Bona, who accompanied In-Ju at the club, dead. Meanwhile, Chairman Kang Joong-Mo found out about In-Ju’s assistant Mo Gi-Jun. News of In-Ju’s death reached the conglomerate group and the general public.
Na Hye-Won grew concerned over the news. She asked her now-husband Kang In-Ha if he believed Tae-Oh killed In-Ju. He assured her that he would fix it. On the other hand, Tae-Oh’s appointed spy deleted his files about the conglomerate group. After the police investigated Tae-Oh, he realized that he couldn’t remember much about what happened on the night of the murder because In-Ju drugged him.
Moreover, Tae-Oh is also accused of allegedly receiving over 470 million KRW rebates. Chairman Kang Joong-Mo scolded his son In-Ha for publicising the news. He ordered to clean it all up once and for all. Meanwhile, the spy made a fake passport to protect himself from the situation. Tae-Oh arrived at the detention center and attended his trial. Go Mi-Jun testified as a witness of the night’s events. He accused Tae-Oh of wanting to start another party in In-Ju’s hotel room.
The same night, In-Ha visited Tae-Oh, blaming the latter for ruining their plan. After In-Ha left, Tae-Oh realized his friend never asked if he’d killed In-Ju. This set doubts about In-Ha in Tae-Oh’s mind. Mi-Jun became the witness once again for Tae-Oh’s second trial. Meanwhile, Joong-Mo decided to investigate more about Mi-Jun. The following morning, Tae-Oh fainted at the center while recalling another person in the hotel room that night.
The doctor helped Tae-Oh speak on the phone with Hye-Won in the recovery room. The doctor confessed that Tae-Oh killed In-Ju for her sake. The next morning, In-Ha replaced Tae-Oh at the Future Strategy Office. Meanwhile, Hye-Won visited the spy, asking him to help Tae-Oh. Although he initially declined, he couldn’t escape Tae-Oh’s threats.
Eventually, the spy disguised himself as a lawyer and visited Tae-Oh. The latter asked him to find out more about what happened on the night of the murder. While the spy investigated more about Gi-Jun, in the following scene, In-Ha spoke to Gi-Jun. At the end of the episode, the court pronounced Tae-Oh guilty of Kang In-Ju’s murder and ordered capital punishment.
