Inside Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian's Lavish Honeymoon on a Private Bahamian Island

After exchanging vows and partying the night away in New Orleans at their opulent wedding on Nov. 16, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian jetted to the private Bahamian island of Kamalame Cay for a romantic honeymoon, PEOPLE exclusively confirms.

With their 2-month-old daughter Alexis Olympia in tow, the newlyweds — who booked their nine-day getaway on Booking.com — settled into a secluded villa on the 96-acre property, which is located less than a mile off the world’s third largest barrier reef in Andros.

The couple’s lavish 3,600 sq. ft. Magnolia villa is accessible only by helicopter, private boat or a FlyTropic seaplane, and Williams even practiced at their oceanside tennis court.

Featuring 20-foot ceilings, the villa’s bedrooms were decorated with furnishings sourced from Bali and India and opened onto a 1,500-sq. ft. beachfront terrace with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.

With private chefs, personal butlers and personal trainers available to them 24 hours a day, Williams, 36, and Ohanian, 34, could indulge in massages, beauty treatments and more at the spa, which is the only over-water spa in the Bahamas.

The tennis champ and Reddit co-founder aren’t the only rich and famous to book an idyllic getaway via Booking.com. Kelly Rowland, Olivia Munn, Kate Hudson and more have booked vacations through the site, and Heidi Klum recently snagged a $15 million NYC penthouse to prep for her annual Halloween bash.

Kamalame Cay’s signature cocktails include a Casamigos “Spicy Marguerita” and the “Samson Special,” of which its ingredients are a closely guarded secret.

Guests are prepared plant-based, dairy and gluten-free meals — including farm-roasted sweet potatoes, seared cauliflower steak with chimichurri, vegan and gluten-free peanut butter cookies and more — by private chefs.

Williams and Ohanian are both foodies, and their wedding reception featured five different cuisines that represented their personalities.

Serving their 200 guests, including Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian West and Eva Longoria, a mix of Italian, Southern-style, Armenian and Chinese dishes, “you could see everything Serena loves in the details [of the wedding],” a source previously told PEOPLE.

“It was a really intimate wedding,” added the source. “All the guests were her close family and friends and people she has known for a long time. There was a lot of love in the room.”
