"So excited to be at our first Olympic event to root for Team USA Track & Field," the duo said of their first day at the Games, "or as the Parisians call it - Team USA Athletics!!!"
"Hoda in the house!"
"Can’t believe we get to witness the greatest swimmers in the world. Disclaimer: we looked like this at every Olympic event," the SNL stars captioned this fun selfie.
In between Olympic events, the ladies stopped for a bite to eat at a Paris cafe.
"Don’t let the foam fool you. It’s Celsius," Gardner admits in the caption for this picture.
Nwodim jokes, "If only there was Team USA Twerking Competition...I still wouldn’t medal but dammit I’d try my best!"
"Was informed this is how I watch men’s gymnastics," Gardner says of her excited reaction. Perhaps she was witnessing the inception of pommel horse king Stephen Nedoroscik's routine?
"Some Today Show love with our guy Al Roker! And bonus, I spy Hoda!"
"Did you see this guy aka my costar [“Mr. Throwback”] aka Chef Curry help Team USA make it to the finals in that game against Serbia?! Well, before that, I saw him at the Team USA House!"
Just before leaving for Paris, Nwodim told PEOPLE, "If Steph is playing on the days that I'm there, I'm absolutely going to show up for him," of the 36-year-old gold medalist. Nwodim also shared that she's been "getting into basketball" recently.
"I've spent the last year trying to learn more about the sport, and I went to Steph's shooting practice while we were shooting Mr. Throwback on our last day," said Nwodim.
Look who they ran into in Paris!
"Live from Paris, it’s my people!!!"
Star sightings! "Olympic Gold medalist and fellow Marylander, Katie Ledecky! Didn’t get a chance to talk crabcakes and Old Bay with her. Missed opportunity!"
"I love France because people bring their kittens to their picnics," Gardner says of this adorable shot.
"Couldn’t leave the city without getting my very own PPP (Parisian Pyramid Pinch Pic!)"
Following their fun at the Summer Games, Gardner and Nwodim will return for the 50th season of Saturday Night Live premiering Sept. 28 on NBC and Peacock.
