The internet hates Justin Timberlake's new single, 'Supplies'

Justin Timberlake has been dropping new singles ahead of the release of his new album, Man of the Woods, on Feb. 2. The singer’s first single, “Filthy,” was met with mixed reactions from fans and critics who had a hard time grasping Timberlake’s new style. But today, the internet was consumed with his second single, “Supplies. The reviews were downright awful.

Timberlake released the single and the video at the same time, letting fans really become immersed in the art — and the response was, for the most part, terrible. YouTuber Bubble Contagion even called the video “tasteless” and “inappropriate” to mix sexuality with world problems.

The Twitter feedback was even worse.

The singer has not responded to the reaction to “Supplies,” but based on his newly released one-on-one interview with Beats 1, Timberlake likely doesn’t care. Talking about how he was classified as a “pop star” when he really felt more like an R&B artist, Timberlake is done with letting others dictate his sound. “I just felt like, let me do whatever the f*** I want. I’m going to do whatever I want.”

Mission accomplished.

While Timberlake struggled to capture the internet today, fans of the cult film Super Troopers were delighted with the release of the official trailer for Super Troopers 2. The sequel was crowdfunded on Indiegogo in 2016, raising more than $4.7 million. Fans obviously wanted a continuation of the story, and today they got their first look at the new film.

Naturally, Super Troopers 2 will be hitting theaters on April 20, or, as it’s more affectionately known, 4/20.
