How Ivanka Trump Spent Election Night Is Raising a Lot of Questions
Ivanka Trump was largely absent from Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, but she supported him on the sidelines. She didn’t take a major role like she did in 2016 and 2020, but the 43-year-old socialite was seen at the Republican National Convention in July and on Election Night at Mar-a-Lago.
On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Page Six confirmed that Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, joined the celebration at Donald Trump’s Palm Beach residence. They were in Florida with her siblings, Eric, Donald Jr., Barron, and Tiffany. Her presence raises the question of whether she and Kushner would return to Washington, D.C. now that Donald Trump has won the White House again. The couple moved to Miami after her father lost the 2020 election and seemed to enjoy their high-profile life without the politics.

Ivanka spends her days with her kids, daughter Arabella, 13, and sons Joseph, 10, and Theodore, 8, two dogs, and her 98-year-old grandmother Marie Zelní?ková, who was Ivana Trump’s mother. From charity events to jiu-jitsu lessons from the Valente Brothers — yes, Gisele Bündchen’s boyfriend — it’s an idyllic life and a far cry from those heated days in politics. Ivanka touched upon those difficult times in a July interview with Lex Fridman where she described the political arena as “a blood sport.”
Her reason for stepping away from her father’s administration was pretty clear — her kids deserve a better childhood. “I’m not willing to make them bear that cost,” Ivanka admitted. But Kushner told The New York Times ahead of the election that he and his wife still help Donald Trump out behind the scenes. “If he calls her for advice or help on something, we’re always there,” he revealed. Kushner promised the media outlet that Ivanka has been “remarkably consistent” about her decision to leave politics, but he did note that “the world is different for us over the next four years if her father is president.”
It looks like their world will change again as Donald Trump returns to the White House in January 2025. Any reported rumors about Ivanka’s return seem to be false because she’s reportedly sticking to her original November 2022 statement when Donald Trump announced his third run for president.
“I love my father very much. This time around I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics,” she wrote. “While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and I will always be proud of many of our Administration’s accomplishments.”
It sounds like Ivanka’s political chapter is officially over.
