J.K. Rowling sends a truly spell-binding gift to a 12-year-old 'Harry Potter' fan
J.K. Rowling has close to 15 million Twitter followers, and gets tagged in tweets pretty much every single minute.
But that doesn't mean she ignores all of them.

Back in April Sabbah Haji Baji, the director of Haji Public School in Jammu and Kashmir, northern India, tweeted at Rowling with a request.
Dear @jk_rowling. Kulsum, 12, a first generation English learner from the Himalayas would like to meet you someday. So come visit us at #HajiPublicSchool . https://t.co/F9tvShYJsm

It only took an hour and a half for Rowling to respond.
Please can you send me Kulsum's full name by DM? I'd love to send her something.

You are wonderful.

Flash forward... two months later: Kulsum received a package in the post.
HELLO, WORLD. SO @jk_rowling SENT A HUGE GIFT BOX FOR KULSUM AND FRIENDS. HANDWRITTEN NOTE, INSCRIBED BOOK, AND THIS IS ALMOST TOO MUCH TO HANDLE.
We are so thrilled and squeaky, I cannot even. Thank you so much, Ms Rowling. Thread below. #HajiPublicSchool https://t.co/X39EtCd9kn— Sabbah Haji Baji (@imsabbah) June 23, 2018

Yep, that's a whole bunch of Harry Potter goodies, accompanied by a hand-written note from Rowling herself.
I’m so happy it got there! I was getting worried! Xxx

Twitter may be a grim place sometimes, but every now and then it's downright magical.
So thrilled just reading this! Happy for Kulsum, her classmates. What a fantastic life lesson for her, that it’s possible to connect to everybody in the world and reach out.
