Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Netflix Docuseries to Stream in November Ahead of Boxing Match
Netflix will debut a three-episode docuseries on Jake Paul and Mike Tyson ahead of their heavyweight boxing event on Nov. 15. The streamer has also given its first confirmation of the timing of the live event, which will begin at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.
The docuseries, titled “Countdown: Paul vs Tyson,” promises to give audiences a look at the training camps and provide “intimate access to fighters The Problem Child, Jake ‘El Gallo’ Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) and the Baddest Man on the Planet, Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs)” as they prepare to throw hands against one another. “Countdown” will debut its first two episodes on Nov. 7, with its third and final episode streaming on Nov. 12 — three days before the 27-year-old Paul and 58-year-old Tyson duke it out at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Along with a focus on the two marquee names, “Countdown” will also document the lead-up to the women’s match-up between super lightweight champion Katie Taylor (23-1, 6 KOs) and featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (47-2-1, 31 KOs). The two will face off for the undisputed super lightweight championship title.
“Countdown: Paul vs Tyson” comes from EverWonder Studio. Ian Orefice and Michael Antinoro serve as executive producers, while Tim Mullen and Jackie Decker are directors.
The much-hyped match-up between Paul and Tyson had been initially slated for July, but was moved to November after the event’s promoter, Most Valuable Promotions, announced a postponement due to Tyson’s need to recover from an ulcer flare-up.
