James Corden & Neil Patrick Harris Deliver the Worst Singing Telegrams Ever on ‘Late Late Show’: Watch
Suit up! James Corden and old pal Neil Patrick Harris were on a mission to get the band back together and hit the road to deliver personalized singing telegrams around Los Angeles on Tuesday night’s (Sept. 25) Late Late Show. Wearing matching red velvet tuxedos and black ties, the duo started in a parking lot before hopping into their singing-telegram-service van. “Are you sure you want to do this?” Corden asked his longtime friend. “I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, James,” Harris assured him.
The inside of the van — filled with disco balls, plush animals and beach balls — gave a hint at how the day might go. The two began their off-Broadway journey at a boxing studio, singing to a married couple who were celebrating their 19th anniversary.

“You married back in ’99 and you’re still together/ Today’s the day to celebrate/ You know what we mean/ anniversary, anniversary, its your 19th anniversary” the two hilariously sang to the tune of Olivia Newton John’s 1981 classic “Let’s Get Physical.”
“We still got it!” Corden raved once they hopped back in the van. The duo’s second stop was a nail/waxing salon, where they were booked to celebrate an employee’s birthday. Cracking out Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer,” the dynamic duo awkwardly made it over as “Tiny Waxer,” only to find out it actually wasn’t the woman’s birthday.
Bummed out and frustrated, the pair began to bicker as they headed to their final gig of the day — a cat shelter, to sing to a woman who just adopted her first kitten. Reluctantly wearing cat ears and tails, the pair went for the obvious, a reworked “Memories” from the Broadway musical Cats, which brought them back together over their mutual disdain for felines.
