James Corden reveals how Kanye West cost 'The Late Late Show' $45,000
The Kardashian family matriarch, Kris Jenner, stopped by The Late Late Show, where she sat down with James Corden for an unappetizing game of “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts.”
In the first round, Corden had no problem not eating the 1,000-year-old egg that Jenner chose for him and, instead, shared details of the time Kanye West totally flaked on him. After Jenner asked Corden, “Why haven’t you done a carpool Karaoke with Kanye yet?” Corden responded without hesitation, “Oh, I can answer this easily. This is a great question for me. We’ve tried! He has canceled twice, maybe even three times. He canceled once as I was turning the corner to his house. I was in a car, and by the time the call finished I was sat outside of his house.” Corden told Jenner that West’s people told him, “He’s not in the zone for it right now. We will do it another time.” West did, however, send a consolation gift.
“He sent me these incredible flowers in a cube. A cube of flowers, which I had never seen before, and he sent me a pair of Yeezys,” Corden shared with Jenner. He added, “People were like, ‘Whoa! They’re so expensive!’ And I was like, yeah, they cost my show $45,000.”
Any sneakerhead knows that Yeezys are actually pretty hard to cop. But apparently not as hard as getting West to participate in a Carpool Karaoke! Despite West’s multiple cancelations, and Corden still sounding bitter about it, it’s clear the host is still hoping the rapper will come through one day. “We love him. He is my dream. He knows that. He is my absolute dream.”
