James Corden reveals he tried to become a rabbit for 'Peter Rabbit'
James Corden might be known for being funny, but on Monday’s The Late Late Show With James Corden, we learned he’s also bunny. To get into character for his upcoming film Peter Rabbit, he revealed he went under the knife for a hopperation.
During a sketch that featured co-stars Margot Robbie and Domhnall Gleeson, along with director Will Gluck, we saw that Corden went a bit overboard. Corden plays the lead role of Peter Rabbit, and his dedication was such that he tried to literally become a rabbit with plastic surgery.
Corden said, “Did I know that Peter Rabbit was going to be animated? No, I didn’t. But having already gone through a 15-hour surgical procedure to have my face reconstructed, I decided it was definitely still the best way to approach the role.”
Corden’s commitment to the role upset his co-stars because he was constantly crunching on vegetables and hopping onto things. Ultimately, Gleeson ripped off part of Corden’s rabbit costume and brought him back to reality.
The Late Late Show with James Corden airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. on CBS.
